Don’t stop

The long road travelled by the Afro Blue Catalan quintet gives a witness to the records that demonstrate their quality as a group. Don’t Stop, their new record has been added to their career that proposes a repertoire of seven titles where their skills also offer to develop a jazz crossing the borders of their own “jazz audience” and conquers the taste of a wider audience. The album, whose music was mostly composed by pianist Xavier Algans, which also includes a title by the bassist Pepo Domènech and two versions of great interest and uniqueness: Feel Like Makin’ Love by Eugene McDaniels and Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough, a classic par excellence by Michael Jackson. Jazz, blues, funk and Latin merge in Don’t Stop, a musical exercise of the highest order that makes Afro Blue one of the most interesting bands in today’s Catalan jazz scene with the most international fame.
